British Library Workshops
This year we have benefitted from some great workshops provided by the British Library which has recently moved into our area.
Year 1 loved their 'Once Upon a Time' workshop exploring the story of The 3 Little Pigs. The developed their storytelling skills working together to tell a story.
Year 2 enjoyed the Reading for Pleasure Gameshow workshop.
Year 3 took part in 'Musical Storytellers' with the book The Phoenix of Persia. The learned how characters can be portrayed through sound and how music can help us understand a story.
Year 4 took part in the workshop 'Refugee's journey: A Drama Workshop' using the book Azzi in Between. The explored the experiences of refugees and performed their own production of the text.
Year 5 enjoyed their 'Write like a Poet' workshop where they drafted poems, used word games to generate ideas and wrote poems to perform.
