‘Learn and Believe, Aspire and Achieve’

Hazel Class Year 4A

We are sad you cannot be in school due to our water pipe problem.

However, you can still try to turn your heat map green on T.T. rockstars. Practise as hard as you can and get adults involved too. Can they answer the question quicker than you?

Be thinking about the measurements and materials for the bridges you will be building when you return. Make a list, when you get back you can compare them with your group.

You could also watch the cracking contraptions on you tube. Just put in the invention you are writing about and then cracking contraptions into the search bar and it will come up. Explain how it works to an adult or sibling.

We hope to see you soon.

Welcome to Hazel Class

We have lots of exciting learning, trips and experiences in the year ahead and we look forward to sharing this with you on our class page.

Your child needs to bring their own named water bottle to school every day (water only).

Our P.E. day is now Thursday and we will be going swimming to John Charles. Children need to come to school wearing swimming things underneath their P.E. kits on ThursdaysThey also need to have a bag with a towel, underclothes and a hair brush. Long hair must be tied up. Please make sure your child has their coat. They often feel cold when they first come out of the swimming baths. Please make sure all stud earrings are removed for the day, unless your child is able to put them in themselves.

We know the children will enjoy their swimming sessions greatly.

If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to a member of staff in Hazel,  Mrs. Collingwood, contact the office or speak to a member of staff on the gates who will be happy to help.

Other Learning opportunities at home

If you wish to support your child's learning in other ways too, you will have information about the areas of learning your child will be focusing on in class, explained in the curriculum newsletters that come home every half term.

These can also be found on the class page, under each topic heading icon. For example, you could work with your child to find out more about the history, geography or science topics that they are learning about.

Also your child’s teacher might on occasion set extra challenges for you to try at home such as spelling tests or something to research at home linked to the current learning topic.
