Roll up, roll up, here comes the Lane End Circus!
The children in Hawthorn had fantastic fun at the 'Lane End Circus'. We kicked off our new topic by spending the morning learning a range of circus games and skills such as tightrope/balancing, ring toss, ribbon dancing as well as learning how to be a mime artist, led by our very own Miss Bellouere!
In the afternoon, we enjoyed watching some short clips of various circus acts whilst enjoying some popcorn with our friends. Our immersion day really helped us develop and extend our vocabulary, to enable us to plan and write our own non-fiction information texts all about the circus. We will publish them on our page when we have finished them!
