‘Learn and Believe, Aspire and Achieve’

Winter

This half term we have been learning about the changes of Winter. We have carefully observed and talked about the changes of the weather. We noticed that the weather has been cold and frosty outside. We also talked about how the trees no longer have leaves on them and they're bare. We have enjoyed being scientists and have thought about water turning into ice. We froze toys in the ice and thought about how we could melt the ice to get the toys out. We've talked about wrapping up warm for winter, needing scarves, gloves, and coats so we're not too cold. We have been learning how to make hot chocolate, which we know is a lovely hot drink to enjoy when the weather is cold. The children have enjoyed painting with ice, making their own penguins and Winter pictures.
