School Lunch Menus

Please go through the menus with your child and help them select their meal choice.

The office team send home a letter for you to enter your meal choices for the full period that the lunches run. If you need any help with this please speak to Mrs Linfoot, Mrs Kirkpatrick or your child's teacher.

Meals are paid online or by using a barcode at paypoint. Please contact the office for current charges and for help to set up the phone app.

Free School meals.

Children may be eligible for free school meals (FSM) if their parents or carers receive any of the following benefits:

  • Universal Credit
  • income related Employment Support Allowance
  • Guaranteed Pension Credit
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

If you need help to see if you are entitled please ask at the office for support in completing the online form. Link below:

If you apply for FSM and are then entitled to a 'Targeted FSM, school will receive additional funding called Pupil Premium, which will go towards staffing and other associated costs in school. This allows children from lower income families to access the best educational experiences they can have whilst at Lane End.

Currently all children up to year 2 are entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal (UIFSM).

The government and school, fund this to allow children to have the option of choosing a well balanced 'home cooked' meal each day.

From the start of academic year 2026 to 2027

your child will qualify for free school meals if you get Universal Credit, regardless of any additional household income.

Once a child is awarded free school meals, they will continue to get them for the duration of the school year. Before the start of each school year, each child will have their free school meal reviewed to check whether they continue to be entitled in the next school year.
