Spelling
The Year 6s need to know the following lists of spellings. There are no specific spelling rules or patterns linking these words - but your child is well practised in the art of looking for ways to remember the spelling of these words. They should write out the word, then underline/highlight parts they need to note. They then need to think of ways to spell each word - words that look similar, double consonants/vowels, silent letters, too busy (so substituting a 'y' for an 'i') etc.
