Believe challenge - Can you live for a day as an ancient settler?
What could be more exciting than to have a challenge to live as a Viking?
That was Cherry class' challenge from Mrs. Britton on the first day of our new term.
After a thoroughly modern trip by mini-bus, we travelled back in time, helped by Astrid, Grim, Emma and the lord of a Viking settlement.
We learnt why Vikings came to Britain, how to dress as a Viking, farming, cooking, pottery making and guarding. To finish off a very exciting day we even had to scare away an Anglo Saxon who was determined to take over our settlement.
Thankfully, the guards had listened carefully to the lord and were able to overcome.
We travelled back safely returning to the year 2021 with out incident.
