Questioning task-
Talk to your child about the choice Jack made to take the hen from the Giant.
Was this a good choice or not? Can they explain why?
Drawing task-
Encourage your child to draw a picture of the characters in the story.
Talk to them about who they have drawn. Can they talk about the details in their drawing e.g., have they drawn two eyes, nose and mouth? How is the character feeling in their picture?
Writing task-
If your child is going to Reception in September, take some time to help them practice writing their name.
Can they tell you the initial sound in their name? Can they think of any other words beginning with that sound?
