As Spring arrives, children are already noticing a change in the weather. We've realised the weather is getting warmer and the seeds we planted in October have been to flower. Our investigation area has been set up as a garden centre so children can learn about plants and invite them to take care of them, exploring what plants need to grow. Using gardening equipment, children have pretended to plant seeds and keep our flowers in the classroom healthy by spraying them with water daily.
Outside, we have wanted to plant more seeds so we decided on poppies. Hopefully, they will grow in the summer!
In our craft area, we love continuing our observational drawing skills, looking at real flowers and using watercolours to paint what we see.
