This half term the children have been spectacular scientists! They have looked at the human body and named and labelled parts of the body and they have looked at and explored our five senses. The children then looked at different groups of animals; they found out about mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds and insects. The children compared different animals based on their structures.
This half term we have been amazing artists! We looked at the artist Yayoi Kusama (the queen of polka dots). First, we explored using different kinds of drawing pencils to create thick and thin lines. We then learnt about primary colours and secondary colours. We had lots of fun mixing colours and making our own colour wheels. Finally, we created our own butterflies in the style of Yayoi!
