Oak Class Year 6A

Safe and Responsible Use of Technology and Online Communications

As you will know, I had to text all the Year 6 parents last week, following some challenges we had with the school new 'Teams' system, and again sharing and reminding our expectations of communicating on line. Those children that needed some individual conversations about these expectations have now happened, and I will be asking the IT technician to re-activate the Year 6 school email and Teams accounts from tomorrow.

Thank you for your support in this.

Children and parents - please could you click the document below. Share and discuss together in your families the ways of working that is expected when working and communicating online, when working at home as well as in school,  and parents - please monitor and guide them in doing this too, going forward.

Year 6 children - you are our oldest and most mature year group in our school. Remember to act safely, responsibly and respectfully in all you do. You are the role models for all other children in school. Continue to make us proud.

Lane End Challenges

Here at Lane End, as we ‘learn and believe, aspire and achieve’, we are faced with many new experiences and challenges.

Some of these arrive as special ‘Lane End Challenges’!

Some challenges will help us to be important parts of wider teams and communities.

Some challenges will let us learn about and try new things we might never have done before – and sometimes we will have to be brave to try!

Some challenges will help us to develop new skills that we will need in everyday life.

Some challenges will make us think about our futures, and help us to develop our own hopes, goals and aspirations.

Many challenges will make us use our voices – so that we can share our ideas, and communicate what we know and think.

Look at the links below to find out what we have been up to and what we have successfully completed so far this year.
