Monday 27th April - Shape, Space and Measure

 

In nursery, children begin to use the language of size and gain a concept of words such as longer, shorter, taller, bigger, smaller, wider etc. When measuring length, we use the terms longer or shorter.

 

Try the activity below and encourage your child to use a full sentence to describe the length of the object you measure the stick against.

E.g: The table is longer than the stick. The pencil is shorter than the stick.
