In Year 1 we have learnt to count in multiples of 2s, 5s and 10s. This week we are going to learn how to and practice sharing equally by two. This means that we split the objects into two equal groups (the objects in each group must be the same.) By learning how to share equally it prepares the children for when they learn how to divide further up in school.

This week you could also have a go at refreshing your subtraction skills by completing the activities below. Remember that when we subtract two numbers your answer should always be smaller than the number you started with.
