How does your garden grow?

This term in Elm class our topic is 'How does your garden grow?'

We started our term by taking a visit to the wildlife garden, we saw a bug hotel, we walked under the willow arch and got to see the chickens who were very funny!

In English we have planted our very own sunflower seeds. We have then written a Recount about the steps we took to plant them.

Some children from the great day box were chosen to help plant some tomatoes that hopefully the children will get to try when they are ready!

In science we have learnt about Deciduous and Evergreen trees, we have learnt about and labeled different parts of trees and plants to put up on our classroom display.

As part of this topic We will also be carrying out science experiments including planting and growing cress and exploring what conditions cress can grow in.

The children will also get the chance to play and explore in our new garden center role play area.
