Our second challenge was an aspire challenge. Mrs Britton gave us the challenge to think about being a vet for the day. We had to think carefully about how to look after animals, what animals need, then in the afternoon we had a visit from Olive the dog. Mrs Warren talked to Reception about what it took to look after Olive- from taking her for walks to trips to the vet to keep her healthy. This inspired the boys and girls of Reception to explore looking after Olive. They planned and made her a kennel, complete with a warm, cosy bed, they designed new toys for Olive and prepared her meals. The children were such thoughtful Theo’s and really thought carefully about how to look after pets. Cleo has decided she wants to be a vet when she grows up!
