This is a good challenge to get children into the habit of hearing lots of questions. They need to be exposed to ‘I wonder’ and ‘what would happen if’ questions and to be encouraged to ask their own questions and make their own links. It is also a good challenge to initiate deeper discussion at home and to start to listen to each other’s ideas and opinions.
We are always very busy in Nursery, but this half term we are especially busy! So far we have already had a pyjama day, reading our favourite bed time stories. We have had a monster party for Halloween, we have had a special visit from Miss Sood to talk about Diwali. We have watched the pantomime and talked about what happens while we are asleep. We have learned all about owls and even made our own salt dough owls, we made them houses with feathers and sticks. All of this has happened in between having fun learning in Maths and Phonics! We will be starting our wintery crafts very soon so watch this space.
We have made Salt dough owls and decorated them. We have started to write our letters to Santa, practise our present wrapping skills and use the Christmas trees for our maths!
On Tuesday 6th December and Thursday 8th December we had our Christmas performances! All of the children did an amazing job and looked fantastic! Thank you again for your support.
