Beeston in Bloom 20th Celebrations! 1
Representatives from Gardening Club were invited to the 20th Beeston in Bloom Celebrations at Cross Flatts Park.  Here they met the Lord Mayor and enjoyed celebrating our work with the organisation. Thank you again to Angela and Linda from Beeston in Bloom for all of their support and advice to our gardening club!

Crafting with pine cones - part 2!

This week the weather was atrocious for gardening club so we got creative! We have made more crafty bits with pine cones! The children were able to decide whether they wanted to make spiders or Christmas tree decorations. What fabulous crafting gardening club.

Making bird feeders - Nov 2016

This week in Gardening club we made bird feeders. We used pine cones and stuffed them with bird seed and peanut butter. Some of us tried peanut butter for the first time ever- yum yum! We are sure the birds will love our tasty treats.

Making Leaf Mulch - Oct 2016

This week in gardening club we collected lots of Autumn leaves. Even though the trees have shed their leaves ready for winter us keen gardeners can find another use for them. We are going to turn them into leaf mulch! Leaf mulch is a bit like compost. We collected tons of leaves into the bin liners and we will leave them for 1 whole year. When we open the bags next year they will have rotted down into compost, amazing!
